Default Elton John's Yellow Brick Road Album

It has to be his best effort. Chalked full of ballads, pop songs and epic anthems. I really don't think there is another one of his albums that offers such diversity and flat out listenable songs!

Obviously! Especially on vinyl. Lucky you - it's one of the few albums my parents lack from their massive collection.

The original came in a gate fold 2 album set. Just a stunning collection of interesting songs when Elton was at the height of his career.

Elton John (and Bernie Taupin) has had a very long and distinguished career spanning 40 years and featuring over 35 albums, not counting the countless greatest hits and compilations .. so it's hard to keep up on all the great gems throughout his career. If someone asked me the question "who has been your most influential artist from the 70s?" In my case, I would have to say Elton John.
