street teams

I was just given the task of creating and running a street team for a known artist. The only thing I was told was to make it organic. I'm not quit sure how to do that. I have done street team work and ran one before, but they have always been done where there were missions given, like sharing links or posting flyers, and points were given for each task of the mission being completed. Then whoever got the most points would get a prize or when a person got to a certain number of points they would get a prize.

I need to know how to create and run a street team and make it organic. I know how to create and run one the way I mentioned above, but how would I do this and make it organic? Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have searched google and have not been able to find anything, and I do not want to ask the person who gave me the job of creating and running the street team (they may think I am unable to do it and I really want to do this).

A street team is basically getting the fans of an artist together to help promote the music artist. Like if there is a new single the fans would request it on radio, post links to purchasing it on iTunes, etc. to get the word out. Then they usually get points for each of those things they do and once the reach a certain number of points they usually get a prize like a free CD or tshirt.

It is basically fans of a singer/band helping promote the singer-band and getting free stuff like CDs, tshirts, posters, etc. (sometimes autographed ones).

Ah, I get it. When you said street artist I was thinking, you know, Banksy and so on. Sorry for being so uninformed.... :shycouch:
