1967 - Too hard to choose. Going to have to do some listening and come back.

My year had nothing, at least in my opinion, so I guess I'll go with...

The Pixies - Bossanova.

What!?

Your year had Fear of a Black Planet, AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted, Banned in the U.S.A., Time's Up, No Prayer for the Dying, Taste of Chocolate and Business as Usual.

Reading everyone elses answers, its accured to me that I've probably really heard little from the year I was born (1980). So I'm gonna do some heavy listening and be back. Loving everyone's picks so far.

Reading through the list I linked on the first page of this thread, there is much that I respect from the year of my birth but not a single album that I would actually listen to, and not a single one that I own.

That's exactly my opinion on albums from the year I was born, that's why I posted Bossanova, I don't own it and I don't even particularly care for it, but it is probably the one I can see myself listening to.

Well I could find a metric assload of great albums from 1990. I'm dealing with 1958. Most of the music I currently listen to had yet to evolve from the extremely early rock era
