Beck: Best Songs Besides Loser Are...?

Besides Loser, what are Beck's best songs?

Necromancer 06-07-2013 06:15 PM

Some of my personal favorites.

'Becks Bolero'

'Goodbye Pork Pie Hat'

'Happenings Ten Years Time Ago'

'Going Down'

'I Aint Superstitious'

'Freeway Jam'

'Shes A Woman'

'I Cant Give Back The Love I Feel For You'

Novocane is one damn good track:

Nobody's Fault but Mine is great too.

@jackhammer: Thanks for those video links. I never heard those songs before. Between them and Loser, I'm going to say Loser is the best of them.

@Necromancer: Thanks for your suggestions. I don't recognize any of those titles, though (not that I expected to.) Of them, which would be the most popular two or three?

Is Loser Beck's biggest hit?

I get the feeling that what we're saying and what you're asking are two very different things. Why do you ask?

I heard Beck was doing a concert near where I live. I'd never heard of him before, so I became curious who he was. I found he did the song Loser and I had heard that before and liked it. (I just didn't know who did it.)

So I was wondering if there were any other songs by Beck that I may have heard before, but it seems not. And it seems likely that Loser was his biggest hit; as that could explain why it is the only song he did I've ever heard, or remember hearing.

I wouldn't even necessarily call Loser his best song, although it's definitely a great, great song.

I can't tell where you're coming from but you should set your time machine to the mid/late-1990s and it will all become clear to you.

Good tunes, but wrong Beck.

I can't believe noone has mentioned this radio friendly hit (unless I missed it):

I wondered how long it would take someone to pick up on that.

Thought for sure Hammer was going to be the first to catch it, but the suspense lasted longer than I expected it to.

You're #1 Plankton! :)

Sorry for my bad.

I'm not really a Beck fan, which I guess is why the entire Sea Change album would be my response to this topic. My guess is Sea Change is the album that draws in the most non-Beck fans like myself, IMO it isn't even recognizable as Beck

Beck fans, flame away. I'm used to it

It's way too normal.

It's okay, but I don't listen to it that much.

You should go to his gig. He wears
a devils haircut and hes got
two turntables and a microphone.

Awww ****, I've been listening to mucho, mucho Beck here lately.

While Beck was a big deal in the 90s this is from earlier 2000-something:

I think this got a lot or radio time as well in the 90s:

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 12:18 PM.
