Songs that Make Good Ringtones
 

Hi ya'll. I just got my very first smartphone and I'm pretty excited to make a lot of sweet ringtones instead of using the classic nokia theme or some generic salsa tune or what have you. I know that is not to everyone's tastes, but I personally enjoy showing off a bit of my cool flavor with a sweet, non-annoying ringtone sampled from a great artist.

So, what songs do you think make good ringtones?

My best friend in college used a section (1:32-1:37) of this, which to this day I find incredibly genius:

What are your ideas?

my girlfriend has a section of Crystal Castles' "Magic Spells" that's pretty sweet if you want something more low key. Right now, though, she's using "Just a Girl" by No Doubt, which is harsh to wake up to.

I, however, am a classicist and slider owner who uses the preset "Akuna Matata" as his ringtone.

Speaking of preset, I'm using a dubstep version of the preset "Fur Elise" but it's grating on my last nerve now and I'm about to change it soon.

I just switched my ringtone to a "beautiful Arabic tone".

I wish I could share it with you but it's lovely. Maybe I'll up a youtube video just so you could hear it. It's a custom one so I have no idea the source of the original song.

Ughhh I hate it when that happens. I did a search for "ring tones" but for some reason I missed that. There were some other results that were locked so I just figured it was a dead-end thread. Anyway. The point of this one is different because I'm looking for suggestions! :)

I love these kind of ringtones. SO AWESOME. But I don't really get where they got the name "Arabic." Haha. And what the heck do you mean, ugly mug? :( Take it back! Ugly is a harsh word!

the search thing on MB kind of sucks. If you want to find a thread just do the whole open a tab to google and type in whatever you want followed by musicbanter and it will pop up.



I don't know, they just slapped Arabic label on it. I know you listen to more world music than I do so where do you think it takes inspiration from?

Also, I just look so out of it in that video because it's early in the morning when I recorded it plus I was planning to edit the video and put a picture in the background but I just never got around to it. Thanks for the compliment anyways lol.

I have The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Theme tune, been meaning to change it but I don't know what to. So I've just left it as it is.

I'm thinking Sonic 3D Blast. PC edition. ;)

I love anything that makes me want to dance!
Sometimes for someone specific, I'll have a ringtone that reminds me of them.

When Hermione texts me, I should have "It's Raining Men!" ;P
