davey havok? afi is pretty ty, i mean they've had their moments (A few good songs on Art of Drowning) but i dont know about davey. Have you heard Son of Sam with Davey and 2 guys from Danzig. If Scott Stapp of Creed got kicked in the balls and sang for Motley Crue during the Too Fast For Love tour, well...that's what Son of Sam sounds like. On some tracks it's almost carbon copied.

Saw him play with the Mescaleros at the Academy, Manchester only months before he died.

Jim Morrison- Because he was and even after passing to the otherside is mysterious.
I like his singing voice best. I'm not a fan of his poetry though, but that's no offence to JM as I don't like poetry anyway. Some might say that some of the best songs ever written are poems. That may be true. Poets should put all their flowery words to a beat that makes you want to dance then poetry would become accessible to even the most ardent rocker/punk/rudeboy/dread/emo/ etc....Dezzy

It was close between Layne Staley and Robert Plant but I went for Plant.

Plant. his high pitched style puts axl, cornell and neill to shame.
joe strummer close second. great execution of the lyrics.
