Left handed guitar with strung right handed

I play a right handed guitars backwards/ upside down. I am looking to get a electric guitar made for me. I am a Gibson player but they will not build one customer guitar. Any help is appreciated

Do you want to do the mod yourself or do you want a guitar-tech to make them for you?

Gibsons have a Tune-o-matic which are on an angle. To have the strings inverted would mean the bridge would have to be angle the opposite way too. I saw a Right handed guitar SG in a guitar store that was restrung for a Left Handed player, the owner reversed the angle of the bridge to compensate for the intonation, which required drilling. I don't know if you want to drill into an expensive Gibson. If you do decide to re-angle the bridge a drill press would be the tool for the job. You can easily buy a left-handed nut, all you will need is Elmer's glue to glue it in place.



Fenders are easier to restring in reverse order because the saddles are more adjustable. I reserve the string order on a Squier Strat, turning the nut around was the only minor modification done to the guitar.
