80's New Wave, OMD or New Order?

I'm new to this forum and didn't see a category for this genre but a friend and I are having a debate. His favorite new wave band from the 80's is OMD and one of mine is New Order which he says is not as good as OMD. So who is better?

ok they are both good, New Order personally has more longevity then OMD.. (ahhmm Joy Division) need I say more..but honestly it's gonna boil down to personal preference.. New Order...

I always thought OMD were pretentious twaddle, New Order had grit & working class realness about them.

Plus the lead singer was responsible for bringing together & managing Atomic Kitten. so f*ck him.
