Woohoo, It's that time of the year where a bunch of my favourite bands will release something I can't listen to.

I wish these people would realise not everybody wants to buy vinyl and want stuff on a format that's actually practical.

Record stores have been ripping people off with the price of vinyl in recent years so I don't see why I should celebrate this day.

Managed to buy 3 CDs today for a grand total of 9 euro. I was laughing all the way home.

Very surprised by this. 90% of the vinyl pushed out today is reissues of fan fave albums with no extra tracks to entice you and released for just a few days for hardcore fans with barely no profits for the bands. Producing vinyl especially on heavyweight vinyl is almost always released through a bands website or through special dispensation from their record label. Barely no profit due to pressing and manufacturing costs. No one is forced to buy it.

I was thinking more of specially recorded singles & EP's rather than full albums.
