This is closer than I thought it'd be. I'm curious, to those who prefer other Cure albums, which one is your favorite?

The Queen is Dead obviously. The Cure only have like five good songs

I choose The Queen Is Dead but Disintegration is also a great record.
TQID fits my mood more often than Disintegration.

Seventeen Seconds. I know I'm in the minority with that, but I love it. It's such a cold, austere record. Their later stuff was sometimes brilliant but could be a bit much, too - Pornography is a suffocating record if I'm not in the mood for it, for example. But the good outweighs the bad up to and including Disintegration. The stuff I heard post-Disintegration was atrocious.

I haven't listened to any Cure albums in a long time to be fair, and I need to revisit them and re-evaluate. And that's something I actually want to do - unlike ever listening to a Smiths album again.

And here I thought it was wrap...

Disintegration 7
Queen is Dead 7

I believe Disintegration was chosen because it is traditionally seen as The Cure's greatest work, likewise with the Queen is Dead, minus singles and compilations of course.

Interestingly enough both Morrissey and Johnny Marr feel that Strangeways here we come is their best album, but ultimately I don't think you can beat songs like Bigmouth Strikes Again and There Is a Light That Never Goes Out....my opinion of course.

Pornography is my favourite Cure record and the self-titled is my favourite by The Smiths.

Do they really? I like Strangeways a lot but it doesn't feel as cohesive to me. I suppose I can see why they would make that claim though, Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me is one of Marr's favorites, and Girlfriend In A Coma is a great song.
