Online Music Reviewers

Has anyone found any good ones not on here? I'm talking specifically video/audio reviews.

I don't usually agree with The Needle Drops reviews but on a plus side he does make me aware of certain albums being released. http://m.youtube.com/user/theneedledrop. Skip to 1.20 to miss the bs.

Same thing with Infidelamsterdam, a Dutch metal only music reviewer who I discovered last week. http://m.youtube.com/user/Infidelamsterdam

I think there aren't enough good ones out there. There's plenty of video game video reviews, but music? Not all that much, sadly.
I like watching NeedleDrop, I just hate the way he edits his videos sometimes. There's not even all that many written ones now that I think about it.
Except if you count opinions of people not really written like a normal review, there's plenty of those on Rateyourmusic.

I think I'll look into doing something like this, I hadn't really considered doing it & I'd probably get about 5 views a year, but I do feel a sense of accomplishment when I post a review here

I actually find the staff reviews on AllMusic are usually pretty on point and reasonable. Lately AllMusic has become my go-to choice for discovering new ****, beating out Last FM.

Found this guy a few months back who talk about what vinyls he has bought/been listening to lately.

There are several closed and/or secret vinyl and music communities on FB. Dereck is a popular contributor to at least 3 that I visit daily.

I'll highlight a few of these groups below.

The YouTube Vinyl Community is a group showing off their latest hauls and now playing LPs, CDs, cassettes, and digital music. The members each have their own YouTube channel showcasing their favorite titles. Here's another one of the group's favorite dudes...

Present Listening is a newer but fantastically thriving group with a great moderator. His rules are simple: post your present listening. Photos must clearly display the subject matter and you should always include an artist and title at the top of your post. It's a great place to discover great music old and new and the members have wonderful taste in tunes. Expect a lot of shoegaze, noise pop, and 4AD classics, lots of jazz favorites, weekly postings of Earth 2 (Special Low Frequency Version), some Morton Subotnick, and occasional krautrock. And recently there's been a trend of modern classical including Tim Hecker, Ólafur Arnalds, Dustin O'Halloran, and Max Richter.
