If you like The Strokes, you might like "Girlfriend" by Matthew Sweet. Robert Quine and Richard Lloyd play guitar on the album. Each one had his on channel for the recording, one on the left the other on the right. Another is "Can't Stand the Rezillos," Jo Callis on guitar (he wrote most of the material) and William Mysterious owns the bass on that album.

Definitely seconding Can't Stand The Rezillos, and Disraeli Gears is quality.

Thanks.
If any band I thought you might like on that list it would be Soundgarden, no? I had trouble looking at your list at first cause I have coulrophobia, but then I went back and checked it out and I thought it was cool to see both Ramones and Modern Lover on it. Jonathan Richman isn't bad at writing. He wrote the theme song to There's Something about Mary, and was part of the two man band that plays in between scenes in the movie.

Proto-punk or whatever the funk, The Modern Lovers made some insanely good and creative pop songs. And I like Soundgarden, but I can't say I love them. They got some songs that rule though.

Threw one together for you guys. Really, it’s more of a “50 albums that I love” list than a “Top 50 albums of all time”.

Had no idea you were such a Judas Priest freak, but props. Also props for Armored Saint, and, like, a bunch of other stuff. Like The Sonics. And Girlschool. And Little Richard. Etc.

I was a metalhead when I was a teenager. I still have an Armored Saint shirt, somewhere.

And I still have my old copy of Symbol of Salvation. One of the underrated classics of latter day trad metal. The things you occasionally find at FYE.

Btw, I knew Neapolitan liked The Rezillos, but I had no idea you liked them too.

Props to Babylon's Burning for giving me a primer on early punk. The reason I decided to check out no wave as well.

Virtually impossible, but here goes. Limited to one album per artist, and chosen as they sprang to mind.
