Your Tributes To Your Favorite Artists

I got this idea from a message board I ran across where a bunch of the users got together and did NMH tributes a lot of them. So what I thought since I know there is a ton of musical talent in these forums, and it's always fun to hear someone else take on a song, why don't we do covers of songs and post them here for all of us to enjoy. I'm posting one later today.

Cheers, let's try and get this to work!

EPOCH6 11-06-2014 03:26 PM

I'm down for participating, but what is an "NMH" tribute?

Frownland 11-06-2014 03:36 PM

Neutral Milk Hotel.

Here's me covering one of my favourite Zorn/Ribot tracks. Couple of flubs but whatever.

Pet_Sounds 11-06-2014 03:48 PM

I'm up for it. Mine will be instrumental. I'll probably post it in a few days.

EPOCH6 11-06-2014 04:24 PM

Regurgitated Limp Bizkit's Break Stuff a while back, I think I might pick a fight with a CCR track tonight for this thread.

No surprises with this one (see what I did there) just a pretty standard cover.

You have a nice voice man. You look a lot younger than I expected, I thought you were in your late 20s. Are you playing lefty in that vid?

Guitars: Plankton
Vocals: Plankton
Everything else: Guitar Chaos member.

I originally did this one a couple years ago. I put a couple of band-aids on it tonight and called it a night... tonight.

Allow myself to introduce... myself.

Here's another, a tribute to Randy Rhodes.

Mr Crowley

...and although it's not a cover, here's my tribute to Buckethead:

...aaaand, here's a world wide collaboration of Shine On You Crazy Diamond, which was made as a tribute to a fallen brother. I'm in there on lead somewhere. I'm not sure if you'd have to register to hear it though.

Behold, my glorious attempt at success.

Pet_Sounds 11-09-2014 01:03 PM

Here's me covering The Beatles' "A Day in the Life" on solo piano. The sound quality is awful, I'm afraid. Crappy camera. I had the volume on my amp up too high, and everything in the room started rattling in the end.

Thanks man! I just got around to listening to yours. You have an amazing voice. I've actually nominated you for "Virtuouso of the Year" as a result. Have you written anything of your own?

Wow thanks man that means a lot, I don't actually have a lot of confidence in my singing I just do the best I can. And yes I have written my own material I have upwards of 20 songs written and I'm recording my first album.
