Who rules the American at music chapter ??

Who do you think that`s the most influent artist in America ? Who do you think is the best performer and most talented singer ? I do believe that it first was Mariah Carey ( when she was young - now she`s not the same, unfortunately ), but she was replaced by Beyonce ! What do you think? XD

Trollheart 11-27-2014 01:40 PM

Hmm. I think you have a seriously blinkered view if you think Carey is the most talented musician in America.... tons more people far more talented than she is, but then, how do you define talented? Different genres, different styles. Springsteen, Dylan, Waits, Jackson, Earle, literally hundreds I would choose before Carey. She's not even in the same class. And as for Beyonce?

Uh, as an American, I have to disagree. Most musicians over here aren't really influenced by Mariah Carey. It's just that the few who were influenced by her are over-represented in the charts. I hope that makes sense. What you hear on the radio isn't even close to the whole story.

Yes, Mariah Carey was the first influential musician ever in the United States.

But wasn't music invented by Elvis Presley?

Trollheart 11-28-2014 04:50 PM

No, no, no! Weren't you paying attention at school? CHAD is the one and only musician whom all musicans owe their talent to. Bow down to the glory that is Chad!

Due to her I'll Be There which, I believe, Michael Jackson then covered beautifully.

Oh, sorry. As a North American, I disagree.
