Performer and Composer for Media: Is It Possible?
 

Hey everyone!

My name is Julian Mitchell-Israel, I'm 16 years old. I am an avid singer and composer. I have reached a dilemma in my studies where I am feeling pressured to choose between a career as a singer and performer, or as a composer (as in for film/video games). I have been singing and performing since I was about four, and immensely enjoy being in musicals, as well as simply singing tunes and performing as a solo artist. I have more recently discovered the world of composing, and have in the past few years composed for two games, and written a bunch of classical compositions.

I am wondering what your take is on the idea of having to choose one path to go down. I would love to pursue both, but I also want to be successful in whatever career I choose. Thus, it seems almost unrealistic to try and make it as a composer and a performer. What do y'all think?
