This is the only hip hop band I ever really listened to.

We've exchanged a few recs over 12 pages of VMs, but I'll drop some here…

How about The Cars? The Cars, Candy-O, and Panorama are all good albums.
Almost nobody else on here agrees with me, but I think Jimmy Buffett's a lot of fun if you're in the mood for some laid-back vacation music.

-50 cool points.

That and the fedora (lookin) hat are really bringing your score down.

I know, it's my own damn fault.

Does it help that I'm currently listening to 4'33"?

A little. But still, a fan of both Buffett and Springsteen? Damn, your whiteness must blind passersby.

That explains why the polar bear passed me by when I was out ice fishing on the tundra this morning.

Here's some good Post-Black Metal as I suppose you probably haven't explored the genre very much, (or at all,) from what you said in your OP.

Grumbling Fur ‎– Preternaturals (2014)
Grumbling Furs are Daniel O'Sullivan and Alexander Tucker. They are described as Psychedelic Rock but I feel that pertains more to the drone like vocal and harmonies, they have very synth oriented songs. They are a harmonizing vocal group not too unlike Tears for Fears and if you can envision them being backed by David A. Stewart (Eurythmics) on synth you can imagine what your in for. I don't know how much of the album you'll like, probably won't care for everything. I really like the song "All The Rays" but I think it should had ended at 4 minutes.
