Thantifaxath - Sacred White Noise (2014) Described as a genuine mix between black metal and death metal (or plague metal if you will), Sacred White Noise is an album that both captures a raw primal energy, and fuses that with cinimatic passages that may remind of a battle in a movie. An album put together with such passion that it must be listened to, to understand. |

The Carpet Knights - According To Life released: Oct. 14th, 2009 The Carpet Knights describe themselves as a Progressive Rock band, they're from Malmö, Sweden. They are heavily immersed in the Prog Rock and Hard Rock sounds of the late 60s and early 70s. But you can hear some similarities with SOAD and Stoner Rock bands of the 90s onward. From what I gather they only have two albums under their belt, which is a shame since imo they are one of the better bands out there.

Update #1 Recommended by Bob: Hammerhead - Into the Vortex This was some badass stuff, and one of the few non-metal albums I'd describe as "heavy". When I'm in the mood for noisy tough guy rock, maybe I'll put this on. 4/5 Recommended by Ki:Sigur Rós - Takk... This album felt like lying in a grassy field, while the sun is shining and a soft breeze is tickling your cheeks. And there are puppies. Cute ones, and lots of them. Very uplifting album, and one I'll likely revisit. So Ki, takk for recommending this. 4/5 Recommended by Neapolitan: The Carpet Knights - According To Life I started listening to this on Spotify, but then I realized that all tracks were severely ****ed with premature endings, some by several minutes. I checked Grooveshark, but it wasn't available there, so I sent a message in the general direction of Spotify's support team, and hopefully they'll look into it.
