But come to think of it... wait, oh my gosh, I've wasted in time in every single thread I've clicked on in any forum I've ever been on in my life! And just like that, we've finally discovered the purpose of an internet forum! My stars!

Yeah, I don't really see how anyone could define with any certainty what constitutes a "waste of time." How do you measure it? If it gives you enjoyment/amusement, where's the issue? And if you think it's a waste of time, why waste your time saying so? Wouldn't it be a better use of your time to simply not participate?

I'm genuinely not trying to ruffle any feathers here, just my 2c. IMO, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything that someone wouldn't call a waste of time.
