This album makes me fall in love with everything in my life at the same time, it matters so much to me.

I came here specifically for this, though:

I like Mott the Hoople's version too, and I think it's a great driving song, but I also think that Bad Company's version is just a bit sexier. Basically, Mott the Hoople is for when you're in the front of the car, and Bad Company is for when you're in the back.

Exact opposite for me.

If a guy's gonna put on Mott, he's already halfway into my pants.

Speaking of Glam Rock bands with sexy songs...

I'd drag my body over miles of broken glass with broken kneecaps to make love to Marc Bolan.

Yes! T-Rex were fantastic, and their songs have really held up well over the years. In regards to other Glam bands, I've also always had a thing for The Sweet. Though I suppose they weren't quite as sexual and raw as T-Rex, The Sweet always had a kind of fun and innocent romantic feeling to their songs.

have I ever given you a cordial invitation to my bed?

in another lifetime it's completely valid.

glam rock is my goddamn life.

Oriphiel 05-17-2015 05:21 PM

I guess it's pretty apparent that I love it too . Whenever there's a discussion going on about "sexy" songs, people always bring up Funk and Soul, but I've always thought that Glam Rock was one of the best genres at capturing that type of feeling. It just has a perfect balance between sweet and rough, being innocent and hopeful as well as a bit heavy and dark. It's rare for me to go for very long without listening to some Slade or Suzi Quatro!
