Literally laughed out loud at that. I love how his legs are actually the same leg.

I never said it wasn't ridiculous. And I take no ****ing credit for the madness of the religulous. Just speaking for myself here.

I dunno. I mean, personally, I see religion or mysticism or whatever as primarily a negative thing in the world. That being said, good music is good music. Not sure if I could rock out to The Newsboys, but if I'm digging it I honestly don't really care.

However, this is totally bad ass:

Could anyone rock out to the Newsboys? I said crap music, not absolute **** sandwich music.

Also, fixed your link.

Ah, yeah, I screwed that up and had to edit like three times.

Ah! Om are the perfect example, as ridiculous as you correctly assessed. What great stoner/doom isn't though?

Van Morrison is also an excellent example! Astral Weeks isn't always an explicitly spiritual listen, but the tone he brings throughout, especially with the jazzy elements, invokes that mystic sort of soulfulness.

That Marc Ribot is some great stuff too! You may know him already but it reminds me of John Fahey a bit, who was really into melding Eastern influences (especially Indian) with the blues, and was a significant innovator of that style.
