As for the condition of alternative radio. I have this long running joke with my friend. I will assume you know who Death Cab for Cutie are. Our local alt station played the single off of their most recent album all the damn time. In fact everytime they would play the song the DJ would say something like "How about that new track from death cab!" the song came out in I believe early November of 2014 could be later but whatever. He would say it over and over and over again. He stopped I think in October of this year. Now my friend and I say that whenever one of us plays anything death cab.

The point is there is very little variation in alternative radio these days. Everything gets overplayed. If its pop music by someone other than Katy Perry, then it instantly gets thrown on alt radio and spammed to ****. It's pretty bad these days.
My stance to a tee. Not much genuine alternative on there at all, bar the occasional Nirvana, RATM, or Chili Peppers song in the mix.

Now does anybody hate death core as much as I do? Emmure, White Chapel, Suicide Silence and the such?

We have one taker can I get a few more???

Death core is an absolute abhorrent genre. I can listen to some metalcore, I listen to death metal. But the combination of the two, and yes I know core comes from hardcore, is an absolute abomination.

I like deathgrind, that's fine. Deathcore, on the other hand...

It's not great. It's not easy to listen to.


I can get why someone would enjoy it over regular death metal though, given they were introduced to it first. The music is very overwhelming, it takes on the senses. The drumming, admittedly, is top notch, but that doesn't save the music from being terrible.

I think the worst deathcore group by far would be Atilla.
