Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the.....pond, the frog is back!!

After four weeks at the UK number 1 spot with his version of 'Axel F' (seeing off Coldplay and U2 along the way) the Crazy Frog finally hopped off the top spot on Sunday - though not before becoming an international phenomenon and the 2nd biggest selling single of 2005 behind Tony Christie.

As the saying goes, you can't keep a good frog down and the Crazy Frog has swapped his helmet for ear phones and waist coat for a Hawaiian shirt as he takes to the decks to mix his version of Gershon Kingsley's Popcorn. A massive international hit in 1972 for Hot Butter it hit No. 1 in Germany where it sold more than 1 million copies whilst giving keyboard fanatics a replacement for 'Chopsticks' along the way.

Now 33 years later the little amphibian chap has brought it bang up to date with production and mixes courtesy of Bass Bumpers.

The Crazy Frog - Popcorn ringtone is already proving incredibly popular on the Jamster website with predictions that it could even rival the popularity of the Crazy Frog - Axel F ringtone.

Popcorn will be released on 15th August and will be accompanied by a CGI video created by Kaktus Films.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BUT….if you can't wait that long for your next installment, the Crazy Frog is releasing his debut album on July 25th, 2005:

Crazy Frog presents 'Crazy Hits' sees the frog at his finest. In addition to the massive 'Axel F' and 'Popcorn', the Crazy Frog adds his inimitable style to classics such as the theme to 'Dallas', Felix's 'Don't You Want Me', Technotronic's 'Pump Up The Jam' and 'The Pink Panther' theme. The album will also include enhanced PC features, including screensavers and games.

Thats quite.... odd. Is it some kind of childerens song? Or is it for adults who think like children? At any rate, I'm not listening to anything by a guy who calls himself a frog and has such terribley corny reviews.
