Cheerful songs
All right, I looked and all I got was one "post happy songs" thread from 2009 which was closed.
We're all such miserable bastards some times, why not post songs that make you happy or cheer you up? I always liked this |

One of mine is "This Too Shall Pass" by OK Go. Never fails to cheer me up when I've having a bad day: |

This song's as bright and happy as a walk on the beach while baked as ****.

This is the first song that came to mind when I saw this thread:

Trying to avoid the obvious here...
Don't get much happier than this one without being a cheese factory like Pharrell or McFerrin: Then there's this one. I gotta admit, it puts a smile on my face: |

Making Memories. Off the 2112 album. A classic album. My favorite song off that album is A Passage to Bangkok. You know what Confucius say: man who go through airport door sideways is going to Bangkok..... anyway... here's my favorite song off that album....

All depends on the genre you like but for me; 'OMFG - Hello' always makes me smile, just a fun-filled song! (if you like Glitch-hop).

Something by REM, maybe? I've found a number of their songs to be catchy and cheerful, and my mum recalls seeing the video of "Shiny Happy People" on MTV in the early 90s and finding it one of the most cheerful songs of its time (and she was living in a flat with only a black and white TV at the time).
Or some folk rock music? I find this to be warming or thought provoking at times. |
