Hip-hop is basically the equivalent of eighties glam-rock. I call hip-hop glam-rap. He is skilled to some extent in what he does, but lately, he seems to be going back and forth - trying to do something new with the initial ability that gained him so much success in the first place. It actually sounds like he's trying too hard. It almost pains me to listen to the guy lately. He's intelligent, talented, innovative and imaginative.
