And if you dig Arkangel, then let's try...

(The link is to a compilation, but the first nine tracks are Life. Love. Regret., so that's all you have to listen to.)

I can't figure out which part of her face I want to ejaculate onto. So I think I'll just wipe it all over.

Two Foot Yard - Borrowed Arms

1. Octopus

Instantly I love the vocals. I really love her voice. It's so sultry. This
would do well in a burlesque performance. Something like Dita Von Tease
could perform to. Oh goodness am I melting right down to the floor. The part
where it just goes ape is fantastic. I'm really excited for this album.
Also I hate to compare things but, I get a real Bjork feel from the singer.
Which I love.
5 stars

2. Seven Houses

Oh wow, this, is fantastic. Oh dear lord baby jesus I'm downloading this as
soon as this album is over. Poor man has seven houses and no home. What is
I really wonder if this person/band was influenced by Bjork in any way. And
the way it goes from jungle drums to almost like swing band is just magic.
I can't explain it any other way.
5 stars

3. Borrowed Arms

Again something that feels a little old school, you know when there's a
vision sprawled across a piano all dawned in sparkle and sequins. She's
serenading the whole room. All eyes are on her. Not one person can look
away. Like medusa but, instead of stone you experience bliss. Truely
how did I not know about this sooner? She's walking around the room now.
It doesn't matter if you like women or not she's all that's on your mind.
The ending part is silky and leaves me wanting more. Like she's leaving
the room and I don't want her to go.
5 stars

4. Chapter IV

This woman is very vocally trained either that or she knows her own vocals
well no not well, inside and out. I think of snakes. Snake skin at night by
the light of a fire. A tribe somewhere, a tribe of people that worship
serpants. This woman she's much like a serpant. Her voice slithers into
your mind and before you know it she's already taken control of you. She's
sly, intelligent, she knows how to get what she wants and she will.
5 stars

5. Crisis

Funky. A lot more so than the previous tracks. It took me out of the trance
a little bit but, lets see where this goes. This album is like some strange
circus I swear. Not one track is like another but, I'm not mad about it.
This track is violent. Something going to happen murder, destruction, etc.
A fitting title for the way it goes about. I really like the vocals "I'm
itching in my skin, I shake myself awake" reminds me of having night terrors.
You can tell there really might be a crisis. Danger.
4.5 stars

6. Plane Song

It's like the calm after the storm. It's needed to follow something like
Crisis. Does this girl do her own harmonies? If she does she's outstanding.
You know those songs that make you feel like you're floating? This is one
of those songs. It wouldn't work as much somewhere else but, it's just
perfect placement.
4.5 stars

7. Drizzle

Are the guitar and the drums suppose to be imitating a drizzling sound in the
beginning? I kinda get that feeling from this track. It reminds me of like
a wounded animal frantically thrashing around trying to run away after it's
been hurt at this part. Like the start there's the innocent scene, then it's
shot, the animal tries to run, the animal dies. Blood drizzling on the ground
4 stars

8. Hold My Own

This track while I do like it, isn't as good as the rest for sure. Not for me
anyway. She's saying how she will hold her own. So, it must be about standing
up for something you believe in right? Oh, these parts where the vocals
almost sound like a ghost are really nice.
4 stars

9. Red-rag and Pink-flag

We're back to the more blues type of song here. Is she saying some like it
hot? Because, this song has that same kind of vibe to it. For some parts
anyway. Who's idea was it to pair these two genres together? It's like hmmm
I don't know swing alternative rock? Another great song. Not as much of an
impact as Crisis or Borrowed Arms.
4.5 stars

10. Newbury Street

This is just a nice simple song. I wish I could say more but, it's just that.
4 stars

11. One Day In May

Trying to grasp at what she's saying with these lyrics. For me it almost
sounds like something about abuse. I could be wrong. Or maybe suicide.
I'll go with suicide because, it sounds like she's listing things that are
kind of left behind, left empty. It's depressing, horribly so. I really feel
it. You know a song is good when you feel the lyrics rather than hear them.
One death, one day in May he'll chose his own end. Suicide is no joke.
There's always tomorrow, there's always a future. Don't you wish you
could just help people that give up? They need to help themselves though.
Easily the most powerful on the album.
5 stars

Whistle Past The Graveyard

After being emotionally drained by the last song it's nice to hear some
vocals that are almost like a call into the night. Do you know the term
Who Doo? It's a form of Voodoo if I remember right and this album makes me
think of that. Though, is this a different singer? Her voice seems more
mature. It feels a little out of place and it's a little silly. Though I
can tell the lyrics are anything but, silly. I really enjoy the part in the
middle of this song that sounds like some masterful band. A good song.
4 stars

The Great Escape

Some easy guitar and violin. A nice place to stop after this strange journey.
I feel completely drained. In all the best ways. Just humming into a perfect
ending. Seriously. Who are these people? This album has touched me in so
many different ways. I love this closing.
5 stars

Over all, I just I'm sitting here not even sure what to say. I'm not even
that, that just happened. Or what happened. I do feel left with a small
crack in my heart for the people in these songs. Some of them have been
through a lot it seems.

4.5 star all together for the strange voo doo circus from the 40's and today.

Really glad you liked it that much. Also really like the way you review it, kinda amplifies my own enjoyment of and emotions from the album.

The band is basically a violin, cello, drums trio. The violinist provides the main vocals, while the cellist mostly provides background singing.

I'll get around to Arkangel at some point, don't worry. I've been kinda busy lately.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.

You mentioned you used to listen to the Dead Milkmen so would you take a request to review the king in yellow?
