This one's also great. It was a fitting tribute to the leader/creator of the band, who had recently passed away at the time. It might be too close in style to Burzum for the OP's x-GF's taste, although they're clearly more consonant, at least for black metal. Oh, and the bodybuilder guy doing the vocals on some of the songs is the deceased musician's brother.

Without the story behind it, I'd think it to be pretty underwhelming tbh, but Plant really pulls through on that (as usual). Those non-solo Page moments though....dude should try to play with feeling instead of playing like he's stutteringly reading the bible aloud.

To be fair, this was the final song of an almost 3 hour long show so the guy was pretty wrung out and probably extremely wasted at the time.

Ya, because all bands/artists/eras are the same.

He doesn't drink or do drugs and his musical style admittedly allows for more sloppiness, but I saw an opportunity to mock Page and I took it. That's what makes me a hero.

I admire the effort. Sometimes people fall. Don't feel bad. It happens.

The dude loved his Jack Daniels. That **** will **** you up.

You'd think he could afford a non-shitty whiskey.
But that's rock'n'roll lifestyle for you.

Frownland 02-19-2016 11:51 PM

I've never had whiskey that wasn't ****ty tbh (scotch notwithstanding though). I had whiskey the first and second to last time that alcohol made me sick and ever since, it's had a huge gross factor for me.

At least it wasn't Jim Beam.
