Its so awesome when 1 soul can make that much of an impact on the earth. Its also a send off only few souls ever get.

I think the main reason why his death hit me so hard is the new album.
Yes, I love a lot of his music and he also always struck me as an impossibly cool and amazing human being.
But the fact that it's been on constant rotation the last few days, that I loved it to pieces, that he was able to go in such a way, leaving such a masterpiece, its lyrics which are just heartbreaking to hear, now that we know a lot of them were about him dealing with and anticipating his own imminent death... All that makes things especially poignant.

This is the only time I've seen everyone agreeing on something and enjoying the artist in question on here l0l. There are a couple of posters who haven't heard much which is fair enough, but nobody is saying he was crap or whatever.

Party in Brixton.

Not only that, but I get the impression that those who are not so familiar with him (myself included) are being encouraged to check out his music to see what all the fuss was about. I know how great he was, I'm just sorry I don't know more of his albums (setting that right as I type) but for those who don't or didn't know him: wow. What a world awaits them. And it's only as it should be. Gain more fans now that he's passed, keep the legacy and the legend alive forever.

I'm going to be listening to a lot of Bowie today. I planned to do it earlier, but I was going places with my family.
