Van Morrison - Streets of Arklow

Or indeed anything from his Veedon Fleece album. It's pure poetry.

Brings me back to Valley Girl everytime. Besides one person on this site, nobody really listens to Sparks anymore and its a travesty.

I personally think this is his best album.

Here are a few favorite "unrecognized" rock tunes--from artists who unfortunately went "unrecognized" for the most part, too:

I'd probably be a big fan but I just can't get past the falsetto.

Puya gets no love, and it's sad.

I enjoyed the Union album. Kind of a metal meets Santana type band.

I was gonna post up a headbang gif, but this is much funnier...

...also, I'd argue that Ramon is a technically more proficient guitar player than Carlos. Not that I don't like a lot of what Carlos has done melody-wise, it's just that I can't see him pulling off any Ramon licks, as just about everyone that has ever wanted to be a guitar player can play some form of Santana.

Oh I would agree hes definitely a completely different guitar player. I was referring to the drum sections and almost samba vibe at times.

Not to mention the killer horn section.

Lately I've been rethinking my whole stance on Carlos and his finger twiddles, so just mentioning him kind of sent me off on a tangent.

They are all different genre, but they still don't get enough recognition.
