Musical Stress Balls?
What album or albums seriously relieve stress for you, or are most effective for calming you?
Petra's Unseen Power does the trick for me. |
Something I can get lost in and help take my mind off of things really helps, any genre really. One of the best examples (especially that piano solo):

I don't know what Musical stress balls, but this musical stress cats.

If I need to work out some anger I'd go with Suicidal Tendencies first album but if I need to calm the **** down I usually go with this.

I usually break out some Enya, or some EJ. |
At the moment, Fleetwood Mac. In the past, it's been Simon and Garfunkel. They're like comfort food for the ears. If I'm pissed, classic punk like the Sex Pistols.

I don't know what stress balls are, or how they compare to stress stones... but Gustov Holst automatically channels whatever stress I'm feeling, into something more productive...
"The Planets, Full Suite" |
Let's see...here are a few that come to mind:
Ambulance - The Curse of Vale Do Lobo Bibio - Ambivalence Avenue Boards of Canada - Music Has the Right to Children, Geogaddi Foscil - Residential Pinback - Pinback, Blue Screen Life Pink Floyd - Meddle, Obscured by Clouds Plaid - Rest Proof Clockwork, Heaven's Door OST Simon & Garfunkel - Sounds of Silence, Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme, Bookends, Bridge Over Troubled Water Sunken Foal - Fallen Arches Tipper - Surrounded Kurt Vile - Wakin on a Pretty Daze This has reminded me that a lot of the music I listen to is relatively high anxiety. And I'm an anxious person. Maybe I should listen to more ambient and mellow stuff. But I like rock n roll dammit! |

Not all songs in this OST make me feel calm, but most do. :P |
