Does anyone have any tips for starting a music collection?

First off, hello, I'm new to this forum.
I have finally decided to legally buy music instead of pirating it. Problem is, I live in a country where there is high import tax (Imagine if you got payed 3000$ a month and a new cd costs 200$) so buying new stuff is really expensive. I also want to get all the music I've acquired through illegal means ( about a 1000 songs). Thanks for your replies!

I apologise for any grammar mistakes, English is not my native language :bonkhead:

Check out record stores and craigslist for local places, I guess.

What country do you live in that has such a high import tax?

I live in Croatia, we're a really small but really corrupt nation in middle/eastern Europe, also, Game of Thrones was filmed there.

We have a local equivalent of Craigslist but no one really wants to sell for a cheap price, but when they do, the case doesn't have labels/the disc is in horrid shape... I bought ...And Justice for All from a guy online and he sent it to me by mail. Since it's my favourite album of all time I figured that it should be the first I buy, and of course it doesn't have the original label, it has a custom made one which was made by the previous owner. Are there any good websites where I can buy CDs in bulk for a relatively cheap price?

I've downloaded a lot more, but I'm a really busy person and I can't find new music on youtube. If I want something new, I download the whole album and if I don't like it, I delete it. I've listened to thousands of songs but in the long run I think I'm more of a singles person than an album person. Metal/rock and rap albums are the only ones I seem to listen to all the way through
