If you had to listen to one song everyday for the rest of your life...?
If you have to listen to one song everyday for the rest of your life, which one would it be, and why?
:whythis: |
I don't think there's any song I wouldn't get sick of, so it's a matter of finding a song I'd get the least sick of. I think an incredibly long, complex and technical song that I like would fit best, because it will stay novel/new for a longer time. That said, I'm into brief simplistic music..
Can't answer your question, sorry. |
I have to agree with the above poster, but I will try and pull a song off the top of my head and give a reason why.
As much as the radio played this song into the ground when it was popular, I would have to say the song I'd choose would be Pharrell Williams song "Happy". My reasoning is because it always puts a smile on my face and gets my foot tapping. |
Jolene of course.

Do the inherent parameters of this question allow us to listen to different covers of the same song?

I could go for only listening to beautiful and emotive music for the rest of my life. |

That version of Jingle Bells that's all done with barking dogs.

I could listen to this song 5ever. Not the only Burzum track worth a mention, but definitely the one at the top of my list.
|
Listen one track everyday? Sounds like nazi torture.

Okay, I'll bite. Listening exclusively to "Dialogue de Sourds," I could go a really long time before finally offing myself...

Time in a bottle by Jim Croce.
A slow song that doesn't bore me to death and builds up a mood just fine. |
No question about it - I'd choose the chimes of The Clock of the Long Now.
Brian Eno composed the clock's chimes which occur in a different sequence at solar noon for 10,000 years. He produced a prototype album of Bell Studies for the Clock of the Long Now, issued on Opal Records in the UK in 2003... ...but I would choose the actual chimes of the clock in real time as my song for life. |
