I love watching sports with the DVR at home because I can pause the game if I need to use the bathroom or grab food instead of waiting for half-time/commercial breaks. I don't mind streaming my sports, but if I could afford cable I would have it just for that reason alone.

The FM radio station owners did a survey once, and they were asking people this question.

Which do you prefer?
a. 30 minutes of music and 30 minutes of commercials
b. 20 minutes of music and 20 minutes of commercials
c. 15 minutes of music and 15 minutes of commercials
d. 10 minutes of music and 10 minutes of commercials

What was the outcome of that survey?

Also because of commercials on FM radio, satellite radio was able to thrive.

Well, the survey results were only for the FM radio station owners, so I never got the results. That wasn't the point though. The point was, every option was the same. No matter what people said, they still got 1 minute of commercials for every 1 minute of music, so it was mostly a big slap in the face of the listener, telling them they were stupid idiotic tools and were going to take whatever the FM radio station owners decided for them.

And yes, that was done probably the same time or just a year or two before Sirius Xm satellite radio was coming out to the public.

I don't remember the year the survey was done, but it was before 2005.

Hey, for this Holiday, everyone wanted to listen to some music, so we were going to listen to some music on MixCloud, but I think MixCloud got flooded with too many people because none of the music would play.

So we tried Slacker and that worked, but no one liked any of the music options on Slacker, so everyone decided on no music.

Then some old people turned on the TV even though they weren't watching it and no one else was either. Old people, they have serious brainwashing issues.

I use MP3's like a boss. If you peasants are so superglued to Spotify's cock then that's your business.

Spotify and youtube to listen to new music, and MP3s otherwise.

I like the discover weekly playlist on Spotify.
