Default Qwertyy vs. Your Favourite Album

Awhile ago I had a section in my journal where I essentially ripped off TH's Love or Hate thread and reviewed the albums that you all recommended I listen to. After a fairly long run (by my standards, at least) it started to get a little tedious and I generally lacked the enthusiasm to search out the stuff that was being throw at me.

Today, I've decided it's time to start the next, somewhat similar, quest. Qwertyy vs. Your Favourite Album will follow a somewhat similar format, except with a few twists for extra entertainment value. At it's core, this thread will consist of you recommending me some of your all-time favourite records, under the caveat that I haven't heard them before, in an attempt to be crowned the best album.

The way I plan to do this is still a little confusing to layout, so I will provide you with an example to help clarify.

Let's say Frownland recommends me the first album. I listen to it, it's okay, and I move onto the next LP. It just happens to be Batlord's recommendation, which I end up absolutely loving, thus making it the best album at the time. Now Batlord's album will sit in the index at the bottom of this post, and for every album I listen to afterwards that I deem less enjoyable, he will gain a point. That is, until someone comes along and gives me an album I decide is better, which will then replace Batty's. I guess it would be a King of the Hill style scoring system, if that makes it any clearer.

To make it fair, you are not able to recommend another album until the current "best album" changes. If I can somehow make it through everyones recommendation without the top album being knocked off, we'll just start again. Or maybe the thread will end, i dunno.

Anyway, I think that's a clear enough explanation. I will also be providing a review for the album, which depending on how I feel will either be a track by track breakdown or just a paragraph or two summing up my thoughts.

I will allow member albums but only 1 per member. So let's say Ki recommends one of his albums, he isn't allowed to recommend any of his other releases for the remainder of the thread. This might get changed in the future, but for now I think it's easier this way because I don't give a **** about the music any of you make (except for Mondo, duh.)

If you have an questions, don't hesitate to ask. Unless it's a dumb one, then you can **** off.
