Yep, I've heard these guys before. Great musicians and all, but just a little too predictable and homogenized. Like me.

Boring and dull. Dudes got some great vibrato on guitar, from what I could hear over the 'sounds like I'm at a crap concert with a bad sound tech' drums. Even if I found the studio version, I'd likely have the same reaction.

Production is good, and death chords are cool and all, but nah.

Almost like a P90 strat sound combined with some heavy riffs and double bass... not too bad. It's a shame that angry falsetto dude had to chime in. I guess I might get used to it if I tried to, but at first listen it's a bit distracting for me. It seems pointless and forced with no reason.

Was the first thing that popped into my head when I thought "techy guitar stuff" and then I was curious about a guitar nerd's impression of Gridlink.
Listen to however much of this as you want.

Bright and overly-saturated guitar is cool. Reminds me a bit of some LITE. Even maybe some of the stuff I was doing while on acid a few times. Freaking out at just the thought of producing sound from something and running with it for hours kinda thing. Around the 8 minute mark, when they finally get around to creating a less free-form structure to the noise is nice. The dissonance is ok, but after a while it's just annoying.

Descending, or I should say building up into audio clipping is a bit pretentious. The video was clever, but the whole time I was listening/watching I was hoping it would change into something cool, and it did not. Kinda bleh. If I was looking for something to really catch my ear, this wouldn't be anywhere near what I thought I was looking for.
