In my experience, that fades with age. I think there's a reason why people start with thrash metal, then move to black, doom, etc.

I just went after the weirdest thing I could think of on the spot.

I think it's more the boredom causes by listening for a long time than being older itself :P

Just weird I dig more "mature" stories but a lot less so with music

Maybe it will change some day. Sometimes it takes just one unexpected, mind blowing experience to change your outlook on all music.

Me at 15-25: All about sci-fi movies with cool premises, monster movies, fantasy, anime, action, comedies and music with lots of catchy riffs and wild soloing.

Me at 35: All about dialogue oriented movies and quieter music with more melody and less of a hook obsession. Holy crap do I get bored with genre movies and thrash metal now.

Maturity or just a need for something different? I'm not sure.

If that's the case, then why do I edit my replies so many times I fear a moderator will pop in and give me a warning?

I like your posting on this board. Your earnestness is refreshing when everyone else is a world class snark-maestro.
(which is of course not a criticism of all you other MB posters. You're all wonderful and of well above average intelligence)

Haha but I snark along with them all the time. The snark and ****posting is half of why I'm here, posts like yours are the other half :P.

I have 2 modes:
-snarky edgy ****posts
-Serious walls of text

Both have awful grammar and spelling.

And yeah I know the editing thing, I usually hit post and almost immediately edit afterwards.

P.s. "world class snark maestro", that's hilarious

I don't see a lot of walls of text in here by anyone. I might be reading the wrong threads. There should be more pointless arguments where people throw tl;dr worthy essays back and forth.

Oh yeah oops, I just meant that come to think of it, I haven't seen anyone do that lately.

I'm not really checking up on people's journals, so that might be a thing to do.
I didn't even know you've been writing anything like that.

I only saw the journals existed very recently, always overlooked it. I'll likely take a look at them when I'm done with my current journey and want to see some random new music.

I tried to document my post hc journeys but I find it so god damn hard to judge music jesus christ it's so weird considering I'm better than most at it with games.
