Now That's What I Call...

Expanding a little on JTF's great idea, create your own album based on any genre or sub-genre. These do not have to be the best or the classics; they can just be the songs you like or know best in that genre or sub-genre. Let's restrict each album to say 15 tracks, but you can do as many volumes as you like.

Predictably mine:

Now That's What I Call Prog, Vol I

1. Script For a Jester's Tear - Marillion
2. This Green and Pleasant Land - Pendragon
3. Carpe Diem - Mostly Autumn
4. Watcher of the Skies - Genesis
5. Flow - Spock's Beard
6. Solomon - Arena
7. I Never Noticed - Jadis
8. The Tall Ships - It Bites
9. Xanadu - Rush
10. Leave It - Yes
11. Long Goodbyes - Camel
12. Plague of Ghosts - Fish
13. Killer - Van der Graaf Generator
14. The City Sleeps - Touchstone
15. A Broken Frame - Eloy

I just realized how hard finding all that much in one genre is for me. I've always approached music in a way that isn't very genre based, so everything I have on my shelves is spread out across all sorts of genres. There isn't really one genre in which I have a ton of different artists represented, except perhaps some vague singer/songwriter category.

Singer/Songwriter and Folk Song Book Vol. 1

Gorgeous melodies all the way!

1. Joan Baez - Diamonds & Rust
2. Vashti Bunyan - Rose Hip November
3. Joanna Newsom - Divers
4. Loreena McKennitt - The Bonny Swans
5. Tori Amos - Horses
6. Annemarie
7. Rickie Lee Jones
8. Maeve Mackinnon - Mac Iain `Ic Sheumais
9. Madredeus - Haja O Que Houver
10. Joni Mitchell - Tin Angel
11. Faun Fables - O Mary
12. Jane Birkin - Et Quand Bien Même

I've also spent years looking for metal bands with a unique sound and I don't really have much in any specfic sub genre.

4. The Agonist - The Anchor and the Sail
5. Madder Mortem - Life, Lust & Liberty

7. Ihsahn - Introspection
8. Menace - To the Marrow
9. Crisis - Bloodlines
10. ICS Vortex - Odin's Tree

That last Dir En Grey track sounds like a song about the early childhood of Satan!

Do yours then. Also, take note of the first person being used. This isn't "Now That's What You, They, We or Everyone Calls ..." it's MY choice. When do you inflict yourself on the Canary Islands, anyway? :)

Hmm. Assumed it'd be German or something.

Spiderman was otherwise engaged. I assume it's the end of her routine. Either that, or she just got scored REALLY badly!
