Uh... no. Just cause it gets submitted doesn't mean it gets added to the classic list. It has to survive through the selection process to be a classic.

How many albums can a member submit?

We'll go with 5. You can have up to five submissions in at any given time.

For the first idea there, what if you are absolutely certain it is a essential, but doesn't make eight, then you have to watch something else that is lame gets passed in the MBHoF (or whatever it is), there will be some salty feelings.

...I mean yeah that's what happens with a poll isn't it? Not everyone's fav album will be selected upon the group's vote. Also I wasn't sure if we were allowed multiple picks :confused:but,

My Picks

Milton Wright - Friends & Buddies
Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band - (eponymous)
Zapp - II
Parliament - Mothership Connection
Marcos Resende & Index - Festa Para Um Novo Rei

Ok. Here's what's going to happen, you get 5 submissions. Tomorrow I'll announce the first album for voting tomorrow.

I'm going to start a new thread for each album with a poll that's numbered 1-10. You'll get one week to vote on the poll. Then it closes. Using the poll I'll create an average. For the album to be considered a classic it must get an average of 7 or more(I might change this if no albums are getting in).

I was worried about posting my five in case anyone teased me about my pedestrian indie favourites, but then I opened up the list and read it and now I don't feel bad.

1. Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?
2. The National - Boxer
3. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible
4. Brand New - The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
5. The Antlers - Hospice

Lucem Ferre 12-01-2017 01:05 AM

Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp A Butterfly
Danny Brown - Atrocity Exhibition
Sadistik - Altars
Esham - KKKill The Fetus
Tyler, The Creator - Goblin

Maajo 12-01-2017 01:05 AM

The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars - David Bowie

Bad Brains - Bad Brains

Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On - Funkadelic

Exodus - Bob Marley & The Wailers

At Folsom Prison - Johnny Cash

I think the albums should all have to be a certain amount of years old going by year of release maybe? Also, maybe everyone who votes should have to write a brief summary of why they think it should or should not get in to promote people listening to the album. Just a few ideas I had.
