Early Pink Floyd had nice longer jams but those little psychedelic songs suck.
Meddle era early 70s Floyd are probably my favourite, especially live.
Dark Side Of The Moon has some good ones but its overall way too polished and boring.
The albums after that suffer from the same problem.
**** late PF, obviously.

I never really listened to Pink Floyd beyond a few of their most known songs. What little I have heard, I like very, very little. Not sure what the hype was ever all about. I'm legit surprised OH and Frown likes them. I thought they'd be in here pronouncing the band pleb rock for pretentious teenage boys.

I never loved music that wasn’t great. I stand by my taste at any age.

You know why pretentious teenagers love Pink Floyd? Because Pink Floyd are ****ing brilliant. It’s pretentious 50 year olds who are ****ing lost.

They're not a vocals-centric band, and I know that's kind of your thing, so I can see why you might not like them. That said, they had a pretty eclectic style and their sound evolved a lot over the years so if you haven't heard much it's worth giving them more of a listen.

What would the musical landscape be like today if Pink Floyd had never existed? They basically created a whole new genre back in the late 60s and early 70s. Judging artists in hindsight is pretty wonky. Yes, you either like them or you don't. But to call Pink Floyd overrated is simply idiotic.

Bands like Floyd, Sabbath, Zeppelin, the MC5, and the Beatles, laid the very foundation of a lot of the music that we listen to today.

Progressive/Psychedelic Rock. Each existed in their own right but Floyd were the band that melded them together in a rock fashion.
