Now that's just silly. If the vocalist is there, he/she better do something worthwhile or shut up entirely instead. Plenty of sections in progressive rock songs I've heard are undeniably vocal oriented for that matter, with not a whole lot going on musically until the instrumental sections arrive.

KC is above and beyond. Worth the paranoia of your ISP coming down on you for downloading music.

Not gonna bother downloading tbh

I've heard a bit of their stuff on Youtube playlists. Seems allright, but I'm not dying to hear a whole album.

Oh and before I forget: I don't have any complaints about Hawkwind yet. They're effortlessly avoiding several pittfalls of the genre.

Rules for music close you out of greatness.

Exploring prog without exploring King Crimson is like exploring the solar system and only going to the moon.

Not even remotely worth bothering.

"If this, then that" is never a good model for something as free as art mate, I'm not sure what's so controversial about that.

^I'm reporting you to the music police as a threat to national security

I don't even want to listen to prog. Much less write about it.

Frownland 07-17-2018 04:38 PM

Low bar for a torture thread.

You should still check out King Crimson though because they're legitimately the best prog has to offer. I can hook you up with a few albums if you like.

I gave him the best recommendation and you guys are like "nah, KC is the only thing worth listening to". I mean c'mon now.
