Best Version of "I Fought the Law"
Cause why the **** not. You got the 1960 original by Sonny Curtis and the Crickets, the 1966 version by The Bobby Fuller Four, the best version by The Clash, the other best version by the Dead Kennedys, and Green Day did a version too apparently. Vote, bitches.
The first two are fairly cool, and the Green Day version is... there, but god damn is The Clash's version the highest form of musical crack. The Dead Kennedy's version is also fantastic but musically not quite as on form but holy **** are the lyrical changes ****ing amazing. Jello 4 mayor of San Francisco. |
By far the Clash

Haven't heard any of them but of course it's Green Day.

So if it's Green Day hands down, how come nobody's voted for them yet?
I liked the Crickets version but I was torn between the Clash and the Bobby Fuller Four. I ended up going with Bobby because he needs some love. The Clash is going to win the poll hands down. Unless you Green Day fans get cracking :D |
I like the version by The Cans from 1970. Garage Rock >
