I wouldn't say that it's upbringing either since my bf is from a macho Spanish family with 3 brothers and yet is super sensitive and emotional . More genetics probably. :/

Anyways, I'm gonna take "cry" as "gives you goosebumps/takes you to the brink of tears" so I can participate and post this:

@5:30 mark. Marching bands just make me deliriously happy for some reason.

Yea I think in the sense of cry, we really mean the feeling of it.

That's an awesome song you posted. In a way, reminds me a little of these guys performance:

Maybe a bit cliche, but still gets me every time...

Gave this one a listen. In literally just over the 1 minute mark, I had to wipe my eyes dry with my sleeves. I can't handle this kind of thing at all.

This must be an old thread; it's a discussion between Freebase and adidasss

^ Yes, fabulous track, which has never made me cry though. Instead, I'm always dazzled by the way, in a few lines, the lyrics conjure up such desolation.

^ Total genuine LOL at this! Thank you for cheering up my morning. :thumb:

These days, I do most of my listening in my car, and to use a phrase that is in the album itself, I have sometimes been "conquered in a car seat" by bits of the Astral Weeks album. Another song that gets to me:-

I had no idea. It's incredible that although he and Freddie Mercury were ravaged by AIDS their vocals remained pristine.

For the longest I couldn't cry for ****, then I watched the series finale of Dexter and just bawled for like an hour. After that the faucet was open and I cry way, way easier and at random times. I've cried over Anthrax. Not even a rare emotional Anthrax song. I cried at this song. Twice. On different days. This song and Judge Dredd are just so cool that it moves me to tears. There have been times at work when I was just thinking about it and had to "man up" so everyone at work wouldn't ask me what was wrong and I'd have to say it was about thrash metal and comic books. So you never know when or if you'll become capable of feeling feelings.

But this is the **** that wrecks my ****. I'll sometimes throw this on repeat and after two or three plays I'm a wreck.

Kinda in the same vein as that Dolly Parton song
