Musical Disappointments

For any number of reasons artists disappoint us. Tell us.

Soon after that journal entry giving massive props to Kottonmouth Kings for their political beliefs I became aware of an article that credibly painted the main member as a racist who had beef with a black member of a group on his record label where he made a post on social media: "Nothing worse than slaves on the plantation sucking the slave masters Dicks-Free the Kings". Then the guy dissing him went on to accuse him of hanging with neo-Nazis and with that quote... well what the **** am I supposed to think?

I can separate the art from the artist but when someone reps liberal ideas of tolerance and anti-capitalism that hit me in the feels then finding out that one of the members is a racist cocksucker faking it for the sake of creating a fake image kind of ruins at least part of the fun.

I didn't like how the second album by that one band isn't as good as their debut.

I don't like how you make music.

Separate the art from the artist--my process should mean nothing to you.

I don't like any music I don't like

Why the **** not? That seems a very untapped potential.

this was pretty disappointing too, I was waiting for the intro to end then the album was over

Wilder Mind was a big disappointment. Them boys are capable of much better.

Mondo Bungle 10-09-2018 05:17 PM

are they really though

They aren't the most popular band out there but I've always been a big fan of Anvil. I believe that they've been pretty consistent and good even into the 2000's and still fairly good into the 2010's.

Pounding the Pavement, the album they released early this year, was total ass. It may mark Anvil finally going down hill for me, which I find unfortunate.
