Musical Predictions/Hopes for the 2020's

We are now officially a year away from The Roaring 20's!

As we near the new decade, I think it'd be cool to ponder on and predict the musical climate of the next ten years. What artists do you see picking up steam? What genres will see a resurgence/revival? What acts do you see dissolving in the 20's? What musicians are gonna kick the bucket? It's the internet age, baby, so anything can happen!

The 20s decade starts in 2021.

By the end of twenties they’ll be some kind of interactive AI genre like an app or something that people will be able to submit songs and passages and sounds to and it’ll interpret it and spit out something new and trippy based on it. Then people will be able to remix it and sample it and so on and send it back to the AI and there’s going to be so much great **** we’ll never have time to listen to it but some things will be frozen and heralded anyway.

Latin music will continue to grow in popularity
A genre or artist will emerge that's drenched in so much bizarre, memey irony and fitting cultural relevance that many will not be sure what real life is
Auto-generated music will explode
A musical counter-culture (for lack of a better word) based on rejection of digital media will emerge/grow
Movement-based instruments will revolutionize the relationship between music and dance

In the year 2020 ... hindsight will be 20/20.

Of course Cage comes to mind. But also a relationship between what your headphones could conceivably detect going on with your brain chemistry. Probably way further down the line though
