I don't even remember what it is. I'm thinking 90's alt rock or grunge due to the cover.

Self proclaimed Lounge Rock/Nu Metal-ish. The singer and his dog (the one in the pic) died in a car wreck. I got to see them at Ozzfest in 98 a few months before all that happened. I was trippin my brains out that day.

Gonna check it out. I'm not scared of the nu-metal tag. Also: :( :( :(

MicShazam - love the beginning of the first one, from the moment the voice and more 'airy' instruments kick in it's less my thing, but I still like it. The rythm is nice, and you're right that it's well layered, the different parts complement each other nicely
The second one is too 80's for me, that beat and those sythesizers hahaha
I can appreciate the chorus of the third one, but that kind of slow rapping irks me
Plankton - Hell yeah. Not something that I would regularly listen too, but great headbanger

I recommend every single thing I've posted in my own journal lol

According to Bat I too am white bread so idk how broadly your horizons will... broaden. Unless you let me rec you hiphop.

I remember you mentioning liking L7 before, so I knew you'd like it. I'd be surprised if Girlschool wasn't a big influence on them.

and for your next rec, Girlschool was one of these guys' favorite metal contemporaries:

Thanks for giving them an honest try. If I post more, I'll try and make sure it covers different ground. Actually... there's this thing I just posted in my journal:

Gaye Su Akyol - Hemşerim Memleket Nere

Just whenever you got time. I'm spamming too much here. I promise it's something different than the ones I posted last.

WWWP - yeah I should delve through your jounal recs, I saw a bunch of things I liked there and your Yo La Tengo cover spoke to me. Hiphop would be interesting because I know nothing about it, I only know and like a few songs by Public Enemy, Princess Nokia, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar
Unitron - I never tried Motörhead because I discarded it as 'probably too metal' but I actually really like this, it sounds very grunge
MicShazam - Spam away hon, you have a very contagious kind of enthouiasm when it comes to your music. I first thought this song was ok but not really for me but then I found myself bopping my head to it, which means it got to me.
Zantheimi - This is really nice, beautiful and playful. I remember finding cool things in your journals too
Edit: just when I thought it was cool enough I came to the bagpipe part, man I love bagpipes so much
Anteater - I don't care about the vocals but I like the dynamics and melodies, especially the instrumental parts. I'm intrigued
