Do you agree or disagree with the people that says 80s music is dated?

Because of the synthesizers, and music videos?

Zhanteimi 02-20-2019 08:49 PM

Dated and not very good.

Frownland 02-20-2019 09:38 PM

Dated it and broke it off for a good reason tbf

When I think synths and dating, I can easily think 1970s: prog rock and these ..,

so do, apparently, these guys:

synths, cowbell, back-ups in satin robes

somewhat shallow lyrics, but great intro.

Most music is dated.

The 80s gave us a lot of good music, but like other decades, you have to look for it (some times not too much).

It’s dated Jan 1 1980 - Dec 31 1989

Rock’n’roll’s greatest decade

I don't think videos have any effect on how the music sounds, but sure, 80s music sounds "80s" because of the technology used to make it and the trends of that era. The same can be said of any other time period as well.

Best decade in music along with the 70's.
