Sure. Spoilering youtube videos is a reasonable request. Continuing not to do so after people repeatedly ask you to is trolling as far as I'm concerned

grindy 07-25-2020 11:38 PM

Yeah, but I'm gonna give Fantomas the benefit of the doubt here that he probably hasn't seen the request. Plus spoilering everything can be a bit of a pain in the ass, especially on mobile.
Plus there was no need for rostasi to be such a dick about it. Could have at least repeated what it was about. So there's that.

rostasi 07-26-2020 04:34 AM

If we are assuming that he's on a mobile,
then spending time putting NINE videos in
a single post is an undertaking all by itself.

Right in the middle of Fantomas and ikvat's postings,
I said "If you're going to post so many videos
in a single post, you need to put them under a
"spoiler" tag." Ikvat apologized ("Ah ok, sorry.")
and fixed his. Fantomas not only ignored it,
but then posted even more than ikvat did earlier
in a single post. This is why I said what I did.
With a request for spoilers and a "quit it",
he continued.

I'm (and probably "we're") tired of people's selfish crap these days.
Even without bringing it up, people could be more mindful of
what they're doing - especially in these times.
Instead, we get people doing the crap that they want to do -
often because of laziness - even if it appears in most circumstances
as a burden or especially taxing to the viewer or reader
(incoherent run-on rants with no punctuation; huge pictures that fall off
moderately sized screens; large number of videos in a single post, etc).
Mistakes are one thing. Being selfish is an entirely different matter.

Sorry guys I was on my mobile... :o:
Sorry rostasi but when you say '' If you don't cut that **** out...'' you ain't really polite..., that's all ..! ;)
It's like.. if I could say just listen to your garbage music..., what would you do , or think ..!??
I mean we all have the different ( musical ) tastes .., we all have different intelligence levels etc..
Respect is how to treat everyone , not just those you want to impress ..

rostasi 07-26-2020 08:49 AM

You’re right. I wasn’t polite ... after you ignored requests. For some people, polite doesn’t work after a while.
I have no idea what you’re going on about with your musical references in your last post...
...and I have no people here that I want to impress, so I don’t have any idea where that idea is coming from.

I will thank you for going back and cleaning up at least some of the video links you posted. Two or three video links in a single post are pretty reasonable, but when you get 5 to 9 of them, it can be a real resource drain. People here have to put “too lazy, didn’t read” statements on well-thought out comments that take 3 or 4 minutes to read. Do you really think people are going to spend close to an hour watching videos from one post?

This man, Alain Bashung, is a French rock's legend. The live footage is taken from his last gig, few weeks before his death. He was on terminal phas of a cancer.

Anne Cherchait L'Amour, Jardin Botanique, Cellulose Sunshine are some of my ATF (all time favorite) French songs. They have aged like fine wine.

Elli et Jacno - Anne Cherchait L'Amour

Opera Multi Steel - Jardin Botanique

Stereolab - Cellulose Sunshine

I wish I knew more French bands & artists, but there is so much music and so little time. More recent bands, contemporaries of those you mentioned:
The Plasticines
Les Sirènes Débrouillardes
Jolie Cherie
Fabienne Delsol
Aline

Aline - "Je bois et puis je danse"

Fabienne Delsol - Your Queen

This was going to be my respone !
