Mostly new bands that get all the press...

I do a Radio Show and have decided that I hate Cold Play because I can't go to a mainstream music website and there not plastered on the front page. Still not sure I have ever heard them. But I hate that I can’t get any good news without going through thier garbage.

Other than that I find I know more songs but don't know who sings them. I went to a Stevie Ray Vaughn Concert back in the 80's and was halfway through the opening act when I realized I knew half the songs the band was performing but had not heard of the Alman Brothers until that night. That was one of the best shows I think I have ever seen. (I have seen a lot)

Judas Priest
Iggy Pop
Grateful Dead
Zz Top

Shooting Star 01-24-2006 05:50 AM

I haven't heard any Grateful Dead either.

I am a big fan of the group 'Yes' and yet I have never gone out of my way to listen to any Genesis or King Crimson. I suppose I should give Genesis a try....before they employed Collins as a 'singer'.

Genesis only did 2 good albums with Collins, Gabriel was MUCH better....Genesis were great with Gabriel, with Collins they merely became a parody of their former selves.

I can hook you up, what do you prefer?...AIM or PM?

Yeah, I love the solo. It's like classic rock devoid of blues underpinnings and put in a modern grungy setting. Hearing it live was great too.
