The Warlocks thread gave me this idea......

What are some bands that use to operate under a different name.
The Grateful Dead were once The Warlocks. Van Halen used to be Mammoth, and Jefferson Airplane became Jefferson Starship who became Starship and still are to my knowledge. What others can you think of?

Yardbirds was a completely differnt band.

Not only did Grateful dead start out as the warlocks, So did Velvet underground
