Overplayed songs you personally have never heard of? :/

So, in my,"Songs you loved at first but came to resent because of overplay?" A Poster said,"Paralyzed by Finger Eleven was a nice groove.... At first." I had never even heard of Paralyzed by Finger Eleven until that post. I looked it up, and lots of Posters were saying stuff like,"Paralyzed was EVERYWHERE when I was growing up! "I loved Paralyzed at first, but begun to resent Paralyzed due to overplay, but now that I haven't heard it in years, I love it again!"

I had no idea what Paralyzed was until that post. Weird that a song that was supposedly overplayed, I never heard of.

Michael Jackson's Earth Song was said to have been the most requested video of Michael Jackson's at one time. I hadn't heard of Earth Song until I bought the History Video Complication when I was about 20....

I've never heard of "Paralyzed by Finger Eleven" either. "Earth Song" was, I think, a much bigger hit in Europe than in North America. So, depending on where you live, that might explain your lack of familiarity with it.

It's called "Paralyzer", and I'm not very fond of it. I was forced to play it in a band, but as coincidences go, I hadn't heard the dam thing in years and I had all but forgotten about it, but then out of the blue last week there it was, playing on my car stereo. I listened for a bit trying not to cringe, but it all came flooding back and I had to shut it down and burn the vehicle to the ground.

*shivers*

I've only survived to tell the tale and warn others.

Didn't sound like all that good of a song to me either. :/ ;)
