Well with those bands, you will continue to not know anything about emo.

Converge
Norma Jean
UnderOATH (old)
Blood Brothers
The Number 12 looks like you
Fear Before The March Of Flames
Comeback Kid
Bane
The Chariot
The Daughters
The Bled
Between The Buried and Me

A_Perfect_Sonnet 12-05-2005 05:53 PM

I'd recommend As Cities Burn and The Fall of Troy as well, they have a hard sound even though they lean more towards indie.

For metalcore/hardcore:

Bury Your Dead
Comeback Kid
Embrace the End
Verse
Shai Hulud

Screamo/Emo:

Circle Takes the Square
Dear Diary, I Seem to Be Dead
Indian Summer
City of Caterpillar
Hot Cross

They never get a chance just because the majority of the fans are dumbasses.

Spread the word that the South actually won the Civil War. You can tell everyone I said so, so it will seem true.

bungalow 12-05-2005 06:04 PM

Tell me how Indie is a genre...

sleepy jack 12-05-2005 06:05 PM

Well.
We have "indie rockers"
and we have an indie forum.
We have "punk rockers"
and we have a punk forum.
For something not being a genre.
It sure as hell is similar to one.

bungalow 12-05-2005 06:09 PM

Indie is a reference to how well known your label is.
It has nothing to do with the style of music you play.
You can be on an indie label....but play punk music....or rap.
The fact that your label isnt well known doesnt affect your genre of music

A_Perfect_Sonnet 12-05-2005 06:12 PM

Well, I'm basically get thrown back and forth between here and MX for trying to call As Cities Burn and The Fall of Troy metalcore and screamo (respectively), and it just goes to show me that none of you have any clue what you're talking about.

hiu 12-06-2005 02:02 AM

Here is some hardcore bands I recomend you listen to;

Die Kreuzen
Black Flag
Bad Brains
Siege
Circle Jerks
Deep Wound
Minor Threat
Void
Rites of Spring
Embrace

your labeling of a band isn't neccesarily correct. You think Fear Before counts as metalcore I disagree. You think As I Lay Dying is straight up metal, and I again disagree. We all have different backgrounds in music and all are welcome to our own interpretation of said music.
